What a timely devotion! This morning I was reading in Romans - 6: 11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
Slaves to Righteousness 15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
And Romans 7:14-25 Romans 7:14-25 (New International Version)
14We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
We have been set free from sin! I belong to Jesus - Grace is how I ought to live - If God forgives my sin through Jesus, then who am I to hold on to it? Why do I continually beat myself up? I'm allowing Satan a place in my heart - The good I want to do, I don't do. Instead I do what I don't want to do. Nothing good lives in me, I am sinful, therefore it is God/Jesus' grace that needs to live in me. When I allow too much negativity in me, I push the Spirit out. he is a gentleman, and just like he wont demand a place in anyone's life, he wont demand that he sin on the throne of my life! He just sits off to the side, and says, I love you, let's talk when you are ready!
This was freeing today. Thank you Jesus for forgiving me, I desire to have room for your grace and your grace alone. I no longer want to hold on to bitterness.
A place to share all of the incredible ways I've been blessed - whether it's a blessing at the time - or not.

Praying God's Will
We really like this house - and know that if it's God's will, He will provide. If it's not, I pray that I'm content either way. I really need the peace that passes all understanding... Phil 4:4-7 4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Further Study - Max Lucado
Deut 4:29
29 sBut from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you tin the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. 31 For the Lord your God is ua merciful God. vHe will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.
8 qCome, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 rHe makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he sbreaks the bow and shatters the spear;
the burns the chariots with fire.
10 uâBe still, and know that I am God.
vI will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!â
11 pThe Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Psalm 105
1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
2 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4 Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth
14Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.
16He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.
This one always makes me think - Jesus was rejected in his own town - because they knew him - from the beginning - It brings to mind the seemingly lack of appreciation that many of us feel... Kind of like - the difference in how you're treated at home - at your parents home - and at work.... I'm a kid in one place - a wife in another - and a leader in another ..... but I'm never all at the same time...
Jude 1:20-21 (New International Version)
20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Life Lessons with Max Lucado - A glimpse of glory -
Psalm 1 (ESV) - Bible.Logos.com
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked.
Delight in the Lord.. Meditate on the word of the Lord day and night
Proverbs 8:34-36
34 Blessed is the one who listens to me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting beside my doors.
35 For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord,36 but he who fails to find me injures himself;all who that hate me love death.â
Romans 4:7-8 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.â
Ephesians 3: Prayer for Spiritual Strength
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family3 in heaven and on earth is named,16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faithâthat you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
To be blessed of God!
Phil 4:4-7
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
